History
Arcoprofil started its activity in the ’60s as Arcotex, a company which operated in the field of textile industry and located close to Vicenza, a province with a famous manufacturing tradition, where the founder Renato Casolin and his wife Valeria lived.
In this period of strong economic growth in Italy, Arcotex also looked ahead by investing in the mechanization. The company purchased the first GROB machine, a Swiss modern technology.
The development continued and in the ’80s the company moved to the historical headquarters in Santorso: from a garage to an area of over 4,000 square meters. Roberto and Giorgio, the two sons of the founder, joined the top management of the company.
During those years, the crisis hit the textile sector and the company reacted by converting its production into mechanical engineering. Arcoprofil, the leading mechanical manufacturing as we know it today, was established in 1976.
By purchasing a new FELSS machinery, a German technology almost unknown in Italy, Arcoprofil aimed at being one of the leading companies in producing axial forming splined shafts and components.
Arcoprofil is growing steadily and is looking more at the international market. It starts to collaborate with the leading multinational companies in its field, crossing European borders to face the global market. The great competitiveness of the market requires more and more precision, technology and innovation.
Arcoprofil is planning to move to a new facility to meet the increasing demands. Considering the environmental impacts of a new-built plant, the company decides to recover and renovate an old building that covers an area of 12,000 square meters
Arcoprofil moves entirely to a new and modern facility, divided up into two production units. Arcoprofil Srl continues to operate mainly in the automotive field while Arcoprofil F&G, the new division, serves the forestry and gardening sector.
