CNC Turning department in Arcoprofil consists of various types of turning machines

Turning is the phase that follows cutting and it represents the most important department in terms of number of machineries and people involved.

In total, we dispose of 25 modern CNC turning centers for the machining of shafts up to 2000 mm in length and with a maximum diameter of 400 mm. The machine park consists of single-spindle centers, twin-spindle centers, which can be either single or multi-turret.
Many CNC turning machines are equipped with centering steady rests and motorized tools in the X, Y and Z axes. Furthermore, six machines are included in robotic cells meant for the parts automatic loading and unloading.

Since 2026, the new Murata Muratech MT200 turning machine has been installed, a high-performance machine tool designed to boost production efficiency, automation, and precision.

The MT200 is a double-spindle turning machine with dual turret tool holders, which complete turning operations in a single setup, reducing downtime and cycle times. It can machine parts from bar stock or forgings up to 400 mm in length, ensuring maximum versatility in production.

Equipped with an automatic loading and unloading system and an automatic bar loader, the machine operates continuously without interruptions for door openings, delivering exceptional efficiency and reliability.

Our Technology

We use modern CNC machines equipped with advanced software to ensure precise and reliable manufacturing. Our technology includes numerically controlled machines, multifunctional work centers and real-time monitoring systems to ensure maximum control at every work stage.

Every year, Arcoprofil invests in renewing the turning department with the aim of adopting machinery that combines high performance and quality standards with energy saving, reduced use of emulsions and a low carbon footprint.

Improving the man/machine ratio is also a key factor in this matter. Thanks to the high automation of the machines, Arcoprofil has almost eliminated manual load handling, not only enabling better overall working conditions but also promoting the inclusion of women in production departments.
